Our spiritual path begins!
Our spiritual path begins!
Our primary goal in giving seminars is to stir the burden of street ministry groups from different churches and get them fired up about working on the street on a consistent basis.
When Jesus said, The harvest is great, but the laborers are few…(Luke 10:2) He was referring to the fact that there were plenty of souls out there who need to hear the gospel message (who would not necessarily come to church). But the problem was that there was not enough people who were willing to do the labor (leg work) in going to gather them into the sheepfold. Therefore, our goal is to establish a strong Christian presence on the streets of our cities in every community, and I reiterate, on a consistent basis.
I sincerely believe in my heart that this is the real key to changing our communities. For a wise man once said “Men must change before kingdoms change”, and I believe that as sure as we as Christian witnesses take the gospel to the streets, God will anoint us and empower us to win the lost and truly set the captives free. This includes people bound by drugs, alcohol, prostitution, homosexuality, false doctrine, gang affiliation, or any other form of bondage that has the people of our communities oppressed. God has promised these hurting people deliverance, and he has sent there deliverance in the form of us, The Body of Christ.
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Col. 1:27
Gathering the Harvest Ministry is a ministry designed to instruct and empower men and women for outreach ministry in the way of street evangelism. Also to train groups from different churches to compel men and women unto the Kingdom of God through public solicitation, preaching, and passing out Christian literature. And these groups will be formed by soliciting those from the local churches in our communities who have a burning zeal to reach the men and women in our area who would not otherwise come to our churches.
Our mission is to make disciples, and not just church members, therefore we want to be sure that everyone we come in contact with truly understands what God requires from every one of us; Repentance from sin, and faith in Jesus Christ. Therefore our assignment is not to just compel people to come to church, but to give them the gospel message of repentance. The scripture says;
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repentant. Luke 15:10.
It is also our endeavor to be able to provide some sort of fall-back measures for the people who we are compelling to come out of situations that is causing them to have to rely on illegal, dishonest, and ungodly measures. These measures can be created through the networking and solicitation of different programs that provide help for people who are trying to get on their feet. Such as halfway houses, drug rehabs, job training programs, ex-pungency programs, and homeless shelters.
